HOW THE CHARITY FUNCTIONS
Anyone familiar with ACeBabes will know that in the past we have
charged an annual membership fee which in the main part has gone
to fund the production of a paper based newsletter.Whilst this newsletter
has been enjoyed by members we have taken the decision to cease
quarterly production in 2007. We could claim to be going green,
saving all those trees, but in truth we are hoping to save a lot
of time, which is of course something we become increasingly short
of when treatment becomes successful! The newsletter has proved
to be a huge drain on volunteer resources and importantly a large
financial outlay. By removing the overheads of the newsletter we
are now able to offer free membership, whilst maintaining as many
of the other services as possible.
MEMBERSHIP
Moving with the times we continue to remove the paperwork trail
and we are hoping therefore to run as much of our communication
as possible via the internet. The easiest way for us to keep in
touch is using email via the bulletin board, this cuts out the administration
of a database, which of course by it's nature contains a lot of
personal information and often more than people wish to divulge.
With our email communication you need give us no more than a valid
email address. We will keep you updated with monthly bulletins,
meeting information and anything else which may be of interest.
Simply register on the bulletin board and that's
it!
ACEKIDS (aimed at children four and over)
Sadly our two year funding has recently come to an end but if you
check out the ACeKids section of the website you will be able to
download the resource packs, join the pen pal scheme and hopefully
get involved in continuing to grow this valuable area of the organisation.
